Sencha Green Tea (Camellia sinensis)
Sencha is regarded as an elevated class of green tea, harvested in the Mount Fuji region of Japan. It grows in very high altitudes and has increased levels of antioxidants compared to other green tea varieties.
Sencha tea leaves are steamed and rolled, which gives it a slightly vegetative flavour with a refreshing and clean finish.
Best if brewed at 170 degrees F, as hotter temperatures can burn the leaves resulting in bitterness.
Sencha green tea contains high levels of caffeine.
Certified organic.
Certified by the Ethical Tea Partnership, a not-for-profit organization which works to improve the lives of communities within the tea sector.
