Elderberry (Sambucus nigra)
Our elderberries are certified organic and non-irradiated, grown in Bulgaria.
Elderberries are mainly known for their immune boosting properties due to their high antioxidant content.
The dried berries can be made into a medicinal syrup or use in food and beverage preparations like tea, syrups, jams, pies, juices, cordials, and more.
They contain a pleasant, fruity aroma and a sweet, tart taste with earthy undertones. Pairs well with cinnamon, cloves, and other dried herbal blends.
* DO NOT CONSUME RAW. DRIED ELDERBERRIES NEED TO BE COOKED OR PREPARED WITH BOILING WATER PRIOR TO INGESTION.
* Do not take elderberry if you have an auto-immune disorder. Elderberry might have an effect on the immune system that could make these conditions worse.
