Burdock Root (Arctium lappa)
Burdock root is used in both Western and Chinese herbal medicine as a detoxifying herb. It is traditionally used as a blood purifier and to help eliminate waste products and heavy metals in the body. Burdock root offers a multitude of nutritional benefits to support overall well-being.
The dried root can be steeped for tea or used in cooking and other herbal preparations.

Burdock may cause an allergic reaction in people who are sensitive to the Asteraceae/Compositae family. Members of this family include ragweed, chrysanthemums, marigolds, daisies, and many others. If you have allergies, check with your healthcare provider before taking burdock.
Burdock may increase the risk of bleeding during and after surgery. Stop taking it at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery.
